The first quarter of popcorn players appeared less convincing. In the 22nd minute of the Manchester City goal, Wycombe striker Brandon Hanlan first broke. However, after that, the four players appeared more disciplined until Manchester City scored comeback 6-1.
Six Manchester City goals were scored by Kevin De Bruyne (29′), Riyad Mahrez (43′, 83′), Phil Foden (45′), Ferran Torres (71′) and Cole Palmer (88′). After the match, Guardiola prefer to discuss the four young defenders who appear to be improving after conceding.

Throughout the match, the duo of centre-back Luke Mbete and Finley Burns did steal the show. Both of them repeatedly managed to withstand the onslaught of Wycombe’s senior striker, Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Full-back Josh Wilson-Esbrand was no less brilliant. The player who was born on December 26, 2002 was the brains behind the creation of the third goal. He ran down the flank then released a pass which was easily completed by Riyad Mahrez.
In addition to the four defenders, Manchester City also fielded academy graduates such as James McAtee (18 years) and Romeo Lavia (17 years) who operated as midfielders. And the last goalscorer, Cole Palmer, who is only 19 years old.
